Sejm without results. Ordinary Sejm in Grodno. 1744 r.

The Sejm was convened in July 1744. The pre-sejm sejmiks took place in August and September 1744. The Sejm began its proceedings on 5 October 1744. Tadeusz Ogiński, a the Lithanian Camp Master, was elected Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies. The Sejm intended to carry out military and political reforms, as well as those concerning the succession of the throne. However, the proceedings got stuck in numerous intrigues inspired by foreign courts, which destroyed the possibility of reforms. The Sejm constitutions were not passed. The proceedings of the Sejm ended on 19 October 1744.
